04/10/2009 Home Sales Show Spark In the last month, Chicago have had a 26% increase in home sales over February. Most of these sales are attributed to the increase in foreclosures and short sales. Another sign that the market is gaining momentum is that lenders are pre-qualifying more prospective buyers. While there is light at the end of the tunnel for this market, we still remain below last year's prices, as this year they continue to fall.
